City of Tehuacán ...more-->Although Tehuacan seems like a small city it has a large history dating back to more then 8500 years B.C. The oldest fossilized corn in the world was found in Tehuacan as well as ancient pottery that dates back to the Purron phase (2300-1500 BC). Countless other archeological finds include evidence of human villages existing in the area more then 8000 years ago. Today the population of Tehuacan is around 255,000 people with its main industries being mining, factories, poultry and livestock production. Because of time restrictions the photos we have of Tehuacan are confined to the area of the Hotel Aldea Bazar, but we do have a VIDEO of Tehuacan featuring traditional music and attractions of the area.
